This is my first post on this blog. I did a very brief stint on Tumblr, but find that WordPress allows me greater flexibility. I also was not a big fan of where my blog was heading, so I’ve decided to start fresh. That means I have some posts to re-blog, but that’s OK. I have a feeling I’ll catch up.
For now, I thought I’d share some pictures I took at Looe Key in the Florida Keys. These images are of the goliath grouper, Epinephelus itajara, an endangered species. These pictures are of small juveniles. (I use small in the relative sense, they still weigh twice as much as I do). A full grown adult will weigh up to 800 pounds or get around 8′ long.
